Prudential Malibu Realty wants you and your home to be safe and dry this rainy season. Here is a list of tips to help you do so.
1. Caulk cracks around windows and doors to prevent water from seeping inside.
2. Remove dead branches that could potential fall during heavy rain and cause damage.
3. Clean Gutters: Remove leaves branches, and debris from gutters which can cause an overflow of water and rot woodwork in the surrounding area.
4. Lower the water level in your swimming pools. An overflow of chlorinated water can be harmful to your garden and grass.
5. Remember to turn off automated sprinkler systems.
6. Place sandbags around home to fill in low areas.
7. Install check valves to prevent water from backing up into the drains of your home.
8. Check drainage around home to prevent water infiltration.
